That being said, yesterday I was in an accident.
I was on the 405 going between 50 and 60mph when the person in front of me on the right swerved into my lane. Instinctually I moved my car to the right and hit the person to the right of me. Wish I would have had the wherewithall to get the plate number of the person who swerved, but after I hit someone else I was more concerned about their well being, as well as trying to stay focused on getting total control back of the car. There was a bit of damage to the door of the other car, and his rearview mirror came off as well.......there is definitely some damage to my door and side, but not as much.....but most of all, miraculously no one was hurt, and there was only a deep peace and gratitude present thoughout the whole ordeal. The presence has been so present lately. This last month has been a quiet one. Hanging out with my daughter and spending some deeply quiet and reflective time. Feels as if a lot is purifying out- making room for a brand new cycle. There is no doubt about this now. Everything is pointing to it. So wonderful to feel the cycles within and be still and aware enough to sense them and respond accordingly. So much has been falling away.......
This weekend I will participate in a Bhakti Kriya retreat with Sri Swami Vishwananda. Been feeling pulled toward India very much lately. Have been reading a book called Kali's Odiyya which has been striking some deep spaces of memory within.......long buried emotions and deep knowings have been surfacing. It has been a beautiful time.
I am out in the desert once again for the next few days....only now it is in the dead of summer, and if ever there was a place for that expression it is in the desert during summer. I believe yesterday it was about 116 f.........
think it's time for a soak in the mineral pool, then more mantras, mudras and meditation in preparation for the initiation this weekend.
Peace b still.
